William: many thanks for the plug and nice comments. Time will tell on whether my advice was helpful or a “cow patty” itself! Just subscribed and look forward to following you. tim
Tim: Thanks for the kind comment. We love breakup plays ... we recently assembled a special situation portfolio for our premium family members ... several spinoffs in there ... and recently wrote about the looming "three-year" in DuPont.
What's interesting here is that we've talked about this deal -- the one you featured -- as well and had planned to write about it ourselves. Seeing your deep dive was affirming ... and very cool, since you executed it so well.
Maybe consider doing a Q&A with us ... they're easy ... fun to do ... I do all the setup work on the written ones (got so I could do interviews in my sleep back during my days as a business reporter ... lol). What's REALLY funny? The interviews -- written and video -- I do with my fellow Substackers ... they always seem to get a bigger "bang" from them than we do ... but that's really kind of the point, you know?
I really like being here. My colleague Jack Delaney and I have met some really interesting, smart, collaborative folks. It's been fun. I'll post a couple examples here. Think about if you'd like to do one (and you can cross post it ... gives you extra "cred" or "gravitas" with your subscribers. And be sure we connect late this year when we do our forecast stories for the New Year and beyond.
Tim: This one did really well ... not only here on Substack, but when I reposted it on LinkedIn and X and my FB sites ... there was a lot of interest. Mihail cross-posted it ... and he said the attention it got was stunning to him ...
One last one ... I mentioned our year-end (look ahead) forecast. This Q&A was part of our midyear review. As part of that, I interviewed Six Bravo. Again, very successful Q&A. They were bowled over by the attention they go (and it was cross-posted, I believe).
Anyway, just wanted to folo through on that promise. Have a great rest of your weekend.
